Joo-hoon Heung unbeatable
After only 14 km of Sacco - Edolo a big group of 12 riders left the peloton behind. The peloton never saw the break away group again, and the stage was to be terminated by the attackers. Several riders tried to attack from the peloton in order to catch up with the break away, but no one succeeded. 10 km before the finishing line, Joo-hoon Heung (Team 14968) and Fred Barker (Team 14968) attacked from the break away group, and they managed to create a gap just big enough to settle the stage. The two riders sprinted ahead with the following group only 50 metres behind them. Joo-hoon Heung could happily raise his hands after winning only a few inches infront of Fred Barker. In the following group, Fábio Leite (Team 14968) took the lead in the sprint, which left him as third on the stage.
The stage today was perfect for me. I felt good in my legs, and when the attack got launched, I had a feeling that I could do this, said Joo-hoon Heung to the interviewers and continued: I couldn't have done this without my team or my manager; they have a just a big part in this win as me.
Belle, manager of Team 14968, was happy with the result: The whole team did well today. Everything turned out as we hoped, and luckily, Joo-hoon Heung was the strongest rider out there today. The proud manager didn't hide that he was satisfied with Joo-hoon Heung's result. Joo-hoon Heung did well. No one deserved the victory more than him. He put his focus on this stage long ago, and he kept his motivation high. I'm happy for him and the team, said Belle.
We won the first, second and third place!
Our first priority was to get first with Joo-hoon.
He did and because we were so strong in the race that also Fred and Fábio ended as one of the best.
We expected something like this, but this was just a secret hope.
We were the strongest and hoped to get the first place and beside another team mate with the best 9.
Because of the result we are from Division 10 to Division 8.
Skipping Division 9 :)
Thank you all team!
